Health, Wellbeing & Vulnerable Road Users

This course is designed to raise awareness of all the health conditions that may affect HGV drivers in the workplace including mental & physical health conditions. The course also covers aspects of well-being such as the correct diet, hydration, cleanliness, and activities that drivers can do to exercise themselves.

You will also learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of the various health conditions which may affect you as a driver, both mentally and physically. Furthermore, you will also learn how to reach out for help if you need it.

The second part of this course highlights the various types of vulnerable road users you may encounter whilst on the road and the rules which regard vulnerable road users. You will also learn to manage the risks you and vulnerable road users may present to one another.

Course Objectives

Health & Wellbeing (Morning)
The first part of this course is aimed at making you aware of all the health conditions that may affect you in the workplace including mental & physical health conditions. The course also covers aspects of wellbeing such as the correct diet, hydration, cleanliness, and activities that drivers can do to exercise themselves. 

Vulnerable Road Users (Afternoon)
The second part of this course highlights the various types of vulnerable road users you may encounter whilst on the road and the rules which regard vulnerable road users. You will also learn to manage the risks which vulnerable road users and drivers may present to one another.
